Eleven overseas Chinese organizations in Hong Kong have held a meeting to condemn Hong Kong legislator Martin Lee's tour to the United States, saying it is traitorous behaviour which is aimed at interfering with Hong Kong's affairs.

Hong Kong legislator Martin Lee and two other legislators testified before the U.S. Senate Foreign Relations Committee on democracy in Hong Kong on Wednesday.

The Hong Kong based Wen Hui Po filed a commentary saying the US senate's hearing interferes with China's domestic matters. Martin Lee's traitorous act has proved the validity of the central government's suggestion that patriots rule Hong Kong.

Hong Kong's Commercial Daily says foreign interference in Hong Kong's domestic matters is of no good to the region's prosperity and stability.
