Nanning

Nanning has a history of over 1,600 years. It was called “Yongzhou” in the Tang (618-907), “Yongning Prefecture” in the Song (960-1279), “Yongzhou Headquarters” in the Yuan (1271-1368) and “Nanning Prefecture” in the Ming (1368-1644) and Qing (1644-1911) dynasties.

It is located in the Lingnan Mountain Range and is surrounded by mountains with an average elevation of 80-100 meters. The city covers about 10,029 square kilometers and has a population of 2.79 million. Since it is situated in a sub-tropical monsoon area, Nanning has plenty of sunlight and rainfalls. The city’s average temperature is 21.7 C.
