The Cotton Council International (CCI), overseas marketing arm of the National Cotton Council of American, marked its 2003 HK Pure Cotton Day with a cotton fabric fashion show titled "Nothing feels like this."

Jeff Coey, CCI's regional director for China and Southeast Asia, said Saturday that his company had arranged pure cotton day activities in a number of Asian countries in the past few years.

It is the first time for his company to hold the activity in Hong Kong.

The fashion show, designed by Johanna Ho and aided by Central Textiles (HK) Ltd., is aimed at creating an uplifted image of cotton, a collection that is modern, fresh and versatile.

So far, Hong Kong's fashion design, material purchase, production and marketing could be operated in Hong Kong.

Yuk Lynn Woo, president of Central Textiles (HK) Ltd. said Hong Kong pure cotton day is an unique day when the textile industry personnel could have a short distance contact with the Hong Kong residents and share the pleasure brought about by pure cotton fashions.
