Serial killer executed for murdering 17 children

Serial killer Huang Yong,
convicted of killing 17 children, was executed by gunshot in Pingyu County in
central China's Henan Province Friday.
Henan Provincial Higher People's Court held a public meeting before the
execution, attracting over 300 participants, mostly relatives of the victims.
Huang Yong, 29, was arrested on Nov. 22 and sentenced to death on Dec. 9 by
Zhumadian City Intermediate People's Court. He did not appeal the sentence.
Huang lured teenagers from Internet cafes and video parlors to his rural
house and strangled them before burying their bodies under his house and in his
garden from September 2001 to November 2003.
