Sales of new vehicles made in China totalled 3,917,500 units during the first 11 months of this year, an increase of 31.25 per cent from the corresponding period of last year, the statistics showed.

Domestically-made passenger car sales jumped by 69.95 per cent year-on-year to 1,731,700 units during the period.

Sales of trucks made in China increased by 8.44 per cent to 1,104,900 units.

Sales of domestically-made buses stood at 1,080,900 units during the period, an increase of 14.14 per cent from 2002.
