In-form striker Louis Saha scored a double in two minutes to inspire Fulham to a 2-0 home win over Portsmouth in an English premier league match on Monday.

Fulham improved two places to fifth in the 20-team league table with 21 points from 13 games with Portsmouth staying 11th with 15 points and remaining winless at away league games this season.

Portsmouth came out strong but Saha scored against the run the opener with a left-foot drive on 30 minutes.

With the visitors still rueing the defensive mistakes, Saha headed home for his eight league goal of the season two minutes later.

Portsmouth's Patrik Berger was sent off with eight minutes left on a red card after disputing a call.
