Three more bodies found in flooded coal mine

Rescuers recovered three more bodies from a flooded coal mine in Dengfeng City, central China's Henan Province, on Wednesday, raising the death toll to seven.

The three miners' bodies have yet to be identified.

On Sunday, the bodies of four of the 18 miners trapped in the Changda coal mine were found.

The chances of survival for the remaining 11 are very slim owing to shortage of air underground and rising water levels in the shaft since the flood at about 2"About 700 rescuers are working in shifts. The Changda coal mine began operating in 1997 and was unlicensed, said a rescue official.
