Coal mine blast kills seven in Guangxi

At least seven people were killed Sunday afternoon when an explosion hit a coal mine in Liuzhou city in south China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, local officials said.

The tragedy occurred at an illegal coalpit at Beigao Village of Rongshui Miao Autonomous County at about 16"The explosion happened when 11 miners were working underground, trapping seven, while the four others managed to escape.

By 18"The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
