Taiwan's probable SARS infections rose by four on Monday to 684, the Department of Health said, reporting the fourth straight day of single-digit infections in another sign the epidemic has stabilised.
Of the four fresh probable cases of Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS), three were newly reported while one was re-classified from a suspected case, the health department said in a statement published on its Web site.
Taiwan's death toll from SARS remained at 81 while another 134 people have recovered from the flu-like virus.
New infections in Taiwan has declined steadily from a record-daily rise of 65 cases on May 22, as a raft of outbreaks at major hospitals appeared to be contained.
