Asian windsurfing championships set for South China city late March

The 2002 Asian windsurfing championships will be held at the Dameisha waters off southern Chinese city of Shenzhen, it was announced on Thursday.
The annual Category A world-class event, first ever to be staged by China's mainland, will also serve as a qualifying event for the world championships.
Expected to participate in the March 28-April 5 event are some 300 athletes and officials from 10 countries and regions, including former Olympic champion Lee Lai Shan from Hong Kong, China.
