2023 Beijing Culture Forum will be held from Sept 14 to 15 in the capital.
The forum's permanent theme is "Inheritance, Creativity, Mutual Learning" and the annual theme is "Inherit Cultural Legacies, Promote Exchanges and Cooperation".
"China's annual capability of producing feature films has steadily risen to the second place in the world," said Yu Dong, founder and chairman of Bona Film Group. "We tell compelling Chinese stories and share them with audiences across the globe," he noted.
"I think that the work of cultural heritage protection is a constant source of inspiration. It always brings fresh ideas and new perspectives," said Lyu Zhou, a professor at Tsinghua University's School of Architecture and head of the university's National Heritage Center.
"Beijing People's Art Theater has its own tradition with a comprehensive system and distinctive features. But from my perspective, BPAT has always been at the forefront of innovation," said Feng Yuanzheng, president of the Beijing People's Art Theater.
Liu Tong, a national first-grade screenwriter, and president of the Jingju Theater Company of Beijing said, "All cultures in the world are interwoven with one another. They thrive through exchanges and grow through mutual learning. Only in this way can we achieve the shared prosperity of all cultures."
Wang Keran, the founder, director, and artistic director of Magnificent Culture said, "Without the ability to connect with people you will be much less likely to create truly vivid works."
