Exhibition in Shanghai unfurls treasures from French Bourbon Dynasty

An exhibition of antiques passed down from the French Bourbon Dynasty is underway at the IFC mall in Shanghai.

It is the first time that the precious antiques have been displayed in China. Collected by the Kraemer Gallery of France, the exhibits feature more than 100 pieces of antique furniture and decorations, such as bedroom furniture, floor clocks, candleholders, wall lamps and sculptures, during the reign of Louis XIV (1643-1715), Louis XV (1715-1774) and Louis XVI (1774-1791).The total value is estimated to be 200 million yuan ($31.36 million).

The show marks the 51st anniversary of the China-French diplomatic relations and runs through Nov 14.
