The 6th performance of the 2nd China International Ballet Season Song of Everlasting Regret was successfully staged on Nov 23 and Nov 24 at Tianqiao Theater in Beijing. Jointly produced by Shanghai Ballet Troupe and Shanghai Grand Theater, Song of Everlasting Regret was made by a group of international talents, including the celebrated French choreographer director Patrict de Bana.

Song of Everlasting Regret was adapted from a narrative poem of the same title by Bai Juyi from the 9th century. The ballet dancers used their elegant body language to tell a tragedy of love between the Tang dynasty (618-907) emperor Li Longji and his imperial concubine Yang Yuhuan, beautifully combining an ancient Chinese story and Western ballet.
