Collections in the exhibition are mainly from 12 important Russian museums, galleries and art institutions. They have provided the most splendid and precious works for this exhibition, which adequately reflects the precious friendship between the two peoples and their great enthusiasm to commonly commemorate the 70th Anniversary of the Victory of the Chinese People's Anti-Japanese War and the World Anti-Fascist War.

This is the first large scale exhibition presenting Russian art works with the theme of the Anti-Fascist War in China. According to Wu Weishan, head of the National Art Museum of China, works by Russian artists are full of the spirit of humanism with majestic atmosphere. "No matter whether it is a portrait, a landscape, a still life or a scene of life, they are full of vitality and humanistic feeling," he said.
