When it comes to meat, we Brits aren't as adventurous as we might like to think. We eat two million tonnes of chicken a year (over half of it the boring breasts) and love a good piece of lamb or beef, but animals which are commonly found in supermarkets on the continent-rabbit, say or horse-never make it onto our shelves (well, unless we're unwittingly eating them in a burger, that is).
