O'le football

O'le Football looks to fill the boots of the much missed Redball bar for the football fraternity with the winning combination of football and beer.

Housed in a former factory, the two mesh-encaged, five-a-side surfaces are lent an inner-city edge in their sparse industrial setting. These pitches host a midweek five-a-side league with cash prizes to tempt budding Beckhams, or can be hired for a kick-around among friends. The bar area is adorned with a handful of scarves, jerseys and seats alongside a TV and a lonely beer pump. The sole beer on offer is draught Budweiser (RMB20), which was unable to be served-a red card offence.

The indoor pitches are fine for play but will be rendered redundant as the weather warms. As a bar, the risk of no alcohol and a closing time before European games are broadcast means Beijing's football fans should see fit to leave O'le on the bench.
