Had us at "Hello"

The newest addition to the "Ginger" chain at Corporate Avenue may not have the courtyard charm, but it is a lovely respite in the city.

We began our weekend brunch with a cup of coffee and the bread basket. First choice is the soup of the day (for us, the creamy asparagus) or mesclun salad with a light dressing, followed by a choice of crepes filled with shrimp, smoked salmon or ham and cheese. Condiments like mango and horseradish sauce kept us digging in, while a side of chopped tomato, pomelo and warm asparagus added to the experience. We opted for a beet/carrot/orange juice smoothie instead of the usual orange juice and it tasted great! Dessert was for takeaway: Torn between the kumquat crumble and the lemon tart, we ordered one of each to share later.

With an attentive staff, a grooovy interior and Wi-Fi, you can also order a la carte. And we will, next time! Perfect For: a relaxing recovery from the night before.
