Feel at home in a paint store

Nippon Paint's first shop in Beijing looks like a lounge bar, with colorful walls, sofas and pictures.

The Japanese paint manufacturer's store in Sanlihe, Chaoyang district, shows off its range of paints with giant sliding walls.

Customers can slide the walls to mix-and-match and find out what their finished walls will look like.

Cans and bottles of paint vary in price 200 to 400 yuan and many are non-toxic.

While mom and dad are picking paints, children can play at "kid's paradise", where there are toys, wooden castles and cartoon-image lamps.
