Marking time in style

Beijing Weekend Guide picks the best of the watches that have entered the Chinese market this season.

Hublot's "Big Bang King All Black Blue" may empty your purse, but this watch is sure to leave you with a king-sized feeling. The blue alligator strap, with black rubber on the inside, and the numerals, carved out of black ceramic, are meant to stand out on any wrist. A divers' watch, water resistant to depths of 300 m, it has a striking blue 48-mm face that makes it possible to read the time even in dark waters.

"Black Pink Bang" has a sparkling pink bezel and dial in matt finish. The watch is decorated with 48 pink baguette-cut sapphire jewels, 2.23 carats in all.

Swatch's Artist series brings together well-known New York party animal Billy The Artist, famous painter, sculpture artist and writer Ted Scapa, designer Matthew Langille, and French rapper and artist Grems.

Reasonable priced, this series is aimed more at rock 'n' roll fans, hippies and skateboarders, with its colorful and exaggerated images that scream freedom and life.

The new Longines PrimaLuna has a soft silhouette, enhanced by the exquisite purity of the dial, with the whole illuminated by a play of sparkling diamonds. Graceful and magical, this is a model that will seduce women with a taste for sophisticated elegance from a watchmaker with an uninterrupted craftsmanship history of 175 years.
