A herd of wild Asian elephants has trekked over 500 kilometers after leaving their original habitat in Xishuangbanna National Nature Reserve in Southwest China's Yunnan province.
After a stop in early June on the outskirts of Kunming, the provincial capital, the herd of 14 elephants is now roaming in Yuxi city.
One male elephant which left the herd has been transferred back to Xishuangbanna National Natural Reserve.
