China is carrying out emergency measures to prevent possible disruptions from Wednesday's solar eclipse. Possible poor visibility and lower temperatures may affect transport and production.

In Wuhan, central China's Hubei province, street lights will be turned on at 9:15 am ahead of the eclipse. Airport lights will also be on in terminal buildings and parking areas. Additional security guards will be on duty on departure and arrival floors.

Experts advise viewing the eclipse through X-ray film or protective lenses rather than with the naked eye.
