BEIJING - A total of 436,000 people will sit China's national judicial examination on Saturday and Sunday, 32,000 more than last year, and nearly 18 percent of the candidates are this year's graduates, according to the Ministry of Justice.

The ministry said that 258 examination districts have been set around the country with more than 14,000 exam sites, covering 31 provincial-level regions as well as Hong Kong and Macao.

The examination will test the candidates on legal theory and applications, current law and regulations, legal practice and professional ethics.

The national judicial examination, one of the most exacting national tests in China, is the professional qualification for lawyers, judges, prosecutors and other related careers.
