Teacher gives students a meaningful Expo experience
Cai Jiaqin draws a map of Shanghai World Expo garden to help her students recall their unforgettable experience at the Expo, in Qianxi county, Guizhou province on Aug 6, 2010. Before Cai's one-year volunteer teaching experience came to an end, she wanted to do something special for her students. Living in a remote and poor village in Southwest China, her students had been asking about what the outside world was like. By using Internet networks, Cai found more than 10 friends scattered in five provinces to offer her students free rides to Shanghai. Cai's students realized their Expo dream in July thanks to the network of the friends' “ride relay.” [Photo/Xinhua]
