Haibao ambassadors
Expo 2010 mascot Haibao will play different roles to represent and promote the five sub-pavilions of the Theme Pavilion.
Five Haibao figures greeted the media Friday morning in their new roles for the sub-pavilions of "Urbanian Pavilion," "City Being Pavilion," "Urban Planet Pavilion," "Footprint Pavilion" and "Future Pavilion."
"Urbanian Pavilion" has chosen joyful "Haibao family" as its representation, while "City Being Pavilion" will use a vital figure of Haibao to showcase a healthy and energetic lifestyle.
"Urban Planet Pavilion" will feature Haibao protecting the environment, and he will appear as an astronaut for the "Future Pavilion," representing pioneer spirit.
"Footprint Pavilion" will be represented by a Haibao scholar.
The Theme Pavilion will start testing its facilities in March and open for trial operation in April.
