Chinese search giant Baidu Inc on Saturday established a club for Internet entrepreneurs, aiming to provide the latter a platform to communicate, receive training, and get financing.

The non-profit club, which targets mainly webmasters, will host online and offline activities such as training on website operations and financing, and help webmasters get funding from venture capitalists.

According to the Data Center of China Internet, over half of China’s 5-million webmasters earn a monthly revenue of less than 500 yuan or even none. That, Baidu’s vice president of business operations Shen Haoyu said, is the main reason for the company to set up such a club.
