Building collapses in SW China, injuring 5

An old building collapsed suddenly, injuring five in Kunming, Southwest China’s Yunnan province about 11 am Wednesday, xinhuanews.net reported.

All of the injured were sent to the hospital, including one in critical condition, according to the police.

The building was attached to a restaurant, and half of its demolition had been completed before the collapse.

Rubble blocked the road and paralyzed traffic for about an hour and a half.
