Chinese vice president starts visit to four nations

BEIJING - Chinese Vice President Xi Jinping left Beijing Monday morning for official visits to Bangladesh, Laos, New Zealand and Australia.

Xi was invited by Bangladeshi Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina Wajed, Laotian Vice President Bounnang Vorachit, New Zealand Prime Minister John Key, and Australian Prime Minister Kevin Rudd.

It's the first visit of a Chinese vice president to the four states.
