The MOC said in a Web site statement that the supply of meat, vegetables and other daily necessities was abundant in Xinjiang, and their prices had fallen to the level before the July 5 riot in Urumqi.

The ministry said it had sent a working group to Xinjiang after the July 5 riot to help local governments to step up efforts on guaranteeing the market supply of meat, vegetables and other daily necessities, ease price hikes and regulate the market order.

A total number of 1,500 tonnes of vegetables was shipped to Urumqi city between July 6 and 11, according to the ministry.
