China, EU ink five agreements

NANJING: China and the European Union signed five cooperative documents after the 12th China-EU summit held in eastern China city of Nanjing on Monday.

The five agreements cover areas of technological cooperation, near-zero emission coal utilization project, energy-efficiency and quality on buildings, the sustainable development of China's trade and investment, and environmental management.

Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao, European Commission President Jose Manuel Barroso and Swedish Prime Minister Fredrik Reinfeldt attended the signing ceremony.
