Daredevil duo dig tunnel to loot jewelers

The interior of a 32-meter tunnel that two suspects spent a whole month digging to loot a jewelry store in Jiangyang city, east China's Fujian province. The duo worked through the night excavating the hole before robbing the targeted jewelers on September 3. They were arrested a week later and admitted looting gold stores. The daredevils, one of whom is a former teacher and gambling addict, said they came up with the idea after watching a TV series on a police task force, dnkb.com.cn reported Wednesday. [dnkb.com.cn]
