Cooperation with the West Point

Besides, BiMBA extends its communication with renowned schools of Europe and America. Through unceasing communication and interaction, BiMBA has successfully set up friendly partnership with the West Point, the most renowned military academy in America.

On February 24, 2009, General Franklin L. Hagenbeck, president of the West Point, led the delegation to visit Peking University, and made a lecture "Way of Commanding Army of the West Point" in the National School of Development of Peking University.

On that day, General Hagenbeck and his delegation, accompanied by Hu Dayuan (vice president of the National School of Development of Peking University) and Yang Zhuang (the president of BiMBA), visited the National School of Development of Peking University.

As the fresh visitor to Peking University, General Hagenbeck said that he was not strange to this place because the West Point has years of communication and cooperation with BiMBA. Since 2004, both sides organized students and teachers to visit one another, and they always maintained favourable partnership.

The cooperation between BiMBA and the West Point originated from a lecture in February 2004 when Lieutenant General Franklin L. Hagenbeck, Superintendent of West Point and senior vice chairman of US Chamber of Commerce in charge of international affairs, made a lecture on the trade relationship between United States and China at BiMBA.

At the meantime, Professor Yang Zhuang, the president of BiMBA, said that BiMBA was always interested in the West Point and its leadership education and it has strong desire of cooperating with the West Point. Later, General Christman immediately responded that he would be responsible for the connection between BiMBA and the West Point.

BiMBA also sponsored international communication activities of diverse kinds and contents. It has successfully held International Forum and Networking Night (IFNN)for two years, and such activity's ultimate goal is to set up a quality communication platform spanning the class, the term, the school, the country, and society, in order to intensify the interpersonal understanding and enlarge communication space based on the principle of equality, as well as give full swing to BiMBA's networking role.

In addition, BiMBA periodically held series international activities focusing on the theme of "Country Culture", in order to introduce different countries' cultural charm. Such move helps set up a friendship bridge for improving the mutual communication and understanding between BiMBA's international students and Chinese students, and it also becomes a stage for BiMBA's trainees to expand interpersonal relationship and turn potential business opportunities into the actual interest.

In 2009, BiMBA set up the Summer Holiday School Project, in order to recruit more international students to comprehensively experience China and intensify their understanding to China's different regions and markets. Also, these trainees bring different viewpoints and ideas to BiMBA's students and they provide BiMBA's internationalisation characteristic with fresh elements.
