Upon arrival, Wen visited passengers in the waiting room of the railway station.

He also went to a border section between Hebei and Shanxi provinces to visit stranded passengers on the Shijiazhuang-Taiyuan expressway and to inspect the disaster situation.

Snow hit many parts of north China in the past days, causing deadly traffic accidents and highway closures and leaving tens of thousands of passengers stranded at major airports and expressways.
