The NMC issued a warning of snow or a mixture of rain and snow expected in north China, including Xinjiang, Inner Mongolia, Shaanxi, Shanxi and Hebei, as well as in the capital Beijing, from Monday to Wednesday.

South China regions, such as Hubei, Jiangxi, Anhui, Jiangsu, Shanghai and Zhejiang, could see rain in the next three days, said the NMC.

In the next two days, northeast, north and east China would be affected by strong winds, it said.

Temperatures in parts of northwest and northeast China as well as most regions along the Yangtze and Yellow rivers would fall by 4 to 6 degrees Celsius. Some areas would see sharp temperature drops of 8 to 10 degrees.
