Beijing ranks 1st in city management efficiency survey

Beijing ranked first in a survey of city management efficiency released yesterday, the Beijing Daily reported.

Shenzhen, in Guangdong province, and Sanya, in Hainan province were second and third, in the City Management Efficiency Index of China's 300 Cities and Provinces, which was issued jointly by the World Economy Research Centre of Beijing Technology and Business University and the China Economy Index Center of Beijing Circulation Industry Research Base.

The index evaluated six aspects of 300 cities and provinces across China, including economic efficiency, structural efficiency, social efficiency, staff efficiency, development efficiency, and environmental efficiency. In addition to Beijing, Shenzhen, Sanya, the top 10 cities included Guangzhou, Shanghai, Haikou, Xiamen, Zhuhai, Quanzhou, and Hohhot.
