Mergers drop number of centrally-administered SOEs to 132

As a result of three mergers, the number of China's centrally-administered State-owned Enterprises (SOEs) has decreased to 132 from 135, according to an announcement posted today on the website of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of State Council, China's state property regulator.

The Changsha Research Institute of Mining and Metallurgy and the Luzhong Metallurgical Mining Group were bought by another SOE, the China Minmetals Corporation. And the China Xinxing Corporation (Group) was bought by the China General Technology Holding,Limited.
