Hong Kong's Chief Executive Donald Tsang Yam-kuen will lead a group of 250 people to Beijing for the National Day celebrations, according to Xinhuanet.

Quoting Hong Kong media, Xinhuanet said the delegation will be here to watch the three-day celebrations of the 60th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China,

This year's delegation is the biggest and most elite group from Hong Kong to attend the event since the region's return to China in 1997, the report said.

Director of the Beijing office of the Hong Kong government, Cao Wantai, said the delegation will arrive in Beijing on September 30 and return to Hong Kong on October 2.

During the three days in Beijing, they will be present in various celebrations including the state banquet, the National Day parade and performances.
