BEIJING: Shanghai Institute of Biological Products has been advised by the National Institute for the Control of Pharmaceutical and Biological Products in Beijing to have its H1N1 vaccine tested, the English Shanghai Daily reported Sunday.

"We will send our vaccine for evaluation by a panel of experts for a production license," Shao Jun from the Shanghai institute was quoted as saying by the newspaper.

"The conference could be held next week," Shao said. If approved, the Shanghai manufacturer would be the country's third licensed mass producer of A/H1N1 flu vaccine.
