A street featuring famous Taiwan snacks and gifts is scheduled to open in Beijing’s Shijingshan district, in October, the Beijing Times reported Thursday.

Operated mostly by business people from Taiwan, the half a kilometer long street located near the Beijing International Sculpture Park will feature snacks, fast food, gifts, animations, bars and singing performances from the island. A name for the street has not been chosen yet.

Across-Straits exchanges have increased since direct flights between the two sides began, and in a recent survey, Beijing ranked a favorite destination for Taiwan tourists.
