Nanjing to build landmark building

Nanjing, the capital city of east China's Jiangsu province, will be getting its own 339- meter landmark building in 2011, according to China.com.cn.

The tower building, together with an eight-storey annex, is the second phase of Deji Plaza, the city's luxury shopping mall.

Investment in the tower building and the annex is said to be 2 billion yuan. The total construction area will come to 230,000 sq m, with 90,000 sq m to be used for commercial use.

Word’s leading luxury brands, such as Hermes, are said to open boutiques there.
