Wu expressed China's strong dissatisfaction to the Japanese government for allowing the visit, and demanded it immediately take effective steps to prevent Kadeer from engaging in anti-China separatist activities, the ministry said.

The Japanese government recently granted a visa to Kadeer. The WUC led by Kadeer is believed to have masterminded the July 5 Xinjiang riots that left at least 197 people dead and 1,600 others injured.
