Performers rehearse ancient Qiuci dance

An actress from the Aksu chorus rehearses the play "The Thousand and One Nights of Qiuci" in Aksu, northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region, Tuesday July 21, 2009. Qiuci, the romanized name of Kuche or Uyghur, was a Tang Dynasty-era (AD618-907) Buddhist kingdom located along the Silk Road in present day Xinjiang.
