Expert lock picker builds theft-proof lock in prison

A hardened thief got his sentence reduced after he built a new theft-proof lock in a prison in Hubei province.

Wu Mingrong used to be known for picking locks with a toothpick and used his skills to build a new anti-theft device during his 20-year sentence in Qianjiang prison.

He invented a lock that he himself couldn't break. He got a patent.
