Eatery offers chicken bitten by poisonous snakes

A restaurant in Guangzhou of Guangdong province, is getting some attention for one of its chicken dishes.

The eatery's "poisonous snake biting chickens" dish has sparked controversy among some diners. Before the chickens are cooked, the restaurant gets a poisonous snake to bite the birds to death. The special dish is popular and some believe it's a good cure for rheumatism.

A doctor said the snake venom is safe to eat after it's cooked in high temperature.
