Ocean information forum closes

The 20th Session of the International Oceanographic Committee on International Oceanographic Data and Information Exchange closed on May 8 in Beijing.

Experts and government officials from 37 countries exchanged ideas on marine data and information for promoting the international cooperation on ocean.

Gred Reed, the co-chair of the IODE Committee said the international information exchange is very important since it will help people to predict the climate change, and better understand the physical and chemical properties of the ocean. It was the first time that the IODE held in China.
