Four killed, 30 injured in E China traffic accident

JINAN -- At least four people died and 30 were injured when a bus rolled into a ravine in east China's Shandong province Saturday.

The bus, carrying about 40 passengers, plunged off a road in Yishui County at about 10 a.m., according to county traffic police.

A witness said the ravine was about 6 meters deep.

The passengers were mainly students, but their ages were unknown, an unnamed traffic policeman said.

No further information was available.

Rescuers and emergency services are at the site. Police are investigating the cause of the accident.
