Meat shop blaze leaves five dead in central China

WUHAN  -- Five people were killed and another is missing after a fire at a community meat store in central China's Hubei Province early Tuesday.

Local police confirmed the fire broke out at 3:30 a.m. in a shop located near Siyanjing on Shizi Street, Ezhou City.

Six people were living on the second floor above this shop before the fire, including a family surnamed Chen, according to police.

Rescuers only found the remains of five adults. A child was still missing.

Rescuers are still combing through the debris.

Police are investigating the cause of the fire.
