At least 10 missing in Heilongjiang mine blast

HARBIN -- At least ten people were missing after a gas blast in a northeast China coal mine on Sunday afternoon.

The Changlong coal mine explosion in Qitaihe City, Heilongjiang Province, occurred at around 4:50 p.m. when more than 20 miners were working in it, government sources said.

Ten have been rescued. Rescuers are still searching the trapped workers.

The exact number of the trapped remained unclear.
