A boy in Chongqing municipality is suffering from a parasitic infection after eating uncooked crabs in Kaixin county, Chongqing municipality.

The boy Jun Jun (not his real name) began eating raw crabs from the age of 5 when he learned that eating live crabs could help him increase his physical power.

He has eaten more than 100 uncooked crabs he caught on the bank of a river near his home in the past five years.

Two months ago, painful bumps appeared on Jun Jun's chest, neck and ears.

After doctors diagnosed him with Paragonimiasis, a food-borne parasitic disease, Jun Jun is currently undergoing treatment.
