Hong Kong cargo ship hijacked in Gulf of Aden

BEIJING - A Hong Kong cargo ship, named "DELIGHT", was hijacked by pirates in the Gulf of Aden near the Yemen coast at 2 p.m, said the maritime search and rescue center of China here on Tuesday.

There were 25 crew members onboard. None of them are from Hong Kong or China's mainland, the center said.

The ship was carrying 36,000 tons of wheat. It was heading for the Bandar Abbas port of Iran.
