Filarmonica Della Scala comes to Beijing

Updated: 2008-09-18 14:06 One of the world's most renowned orchestras Filarmonica della Scala recently wrap up its Asian tour at Beijing's National Centre for the Performing Arts.
In front of a 2,000 member audience, conductor Myung-Whun Chung directed musical scores by Rossini, Puccini, Verdi and Tchaikovsky. The concert ended with a 10 minute ovation following an encore performance of Rossini's William Tell Overture. Filarmonica della Scala's recent Asian Tour 2008 was under the direction of Korean conductor and pianist Myung-Whun Chung.
